Makan Makan is a contemporary Eurasian eatery located in central Bangkok in a cosy renovated shoplot on the vibrant and flavourful Sukhumvit Soi 16 (off Asoke BTS)

Makan translates as “eat” in the languages of the Malay Archipelago, and Makan Makan means “lets go eat”. The menu is inspired by the influences of 16th century Portuguese traders who plied their wares from Phuket to Indonesia, and left behind a rich culinary tradition of eastern food fused with western influences.

By day the restaurant offers reasonably priced breakfast and lunch specials, and by night transforms into an intimate restaurant and bar.
